"Free games that just work โ on whatever you've already got."
KanDe Bros make browser games. You click a link and you're playing. There is nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, nothing to pay, and no adverts anywhere.
Everything here was built from scratch. Not from a game-making kit โ the snake, the word grid, the 3D corridors and the monster that walks down them are all written by hand and drawn by code.
Slither, gobble fruit, dodge everyone else. Unlock superhero skins with real powers and glowing trails as you score.
Trace words through a grid of letters before the clock runs out. Everyone races the same board โ but words you both found score nothing.
You're locked in an abandoned toy factory. Fix the power, bridge the circuit, crack the code, raise the shutter โ while something hunts you by sound.
It's not showing off โ it's because we kept finding real problems. A few the tests caught before anybody played:
In Hush, the notes were handed out by a piece of maths that could give you the same note twice โ and never show you the door code. The game would have been impossible to finish.
Also in Hush: the first version of the new graphics ran at about 7 frames a second. Unplayable. It's about eleven times faster now.
In Wuzzle, the word list turned out to come from a dictionary written in 1934. It didn't know yay, okay, taco or email. It knows them now.
And some things only a real person finds. Hush used to freeze completely when you finished watching a video tape โ that one got reported by a player, not by a test. So a new set of tests was written specifically to hunt for it happening again.
More games, and more to do in the ones that already exist. If you play something and it breaks, feels unfair, or just isn't fun โ that's the most useful thing you can tell us.
